Town of Decatur

The Decatur Board of Aldermen will hold a Special Called Meeting on Thursday June 18, 2026 at 6pm at the Decatur Municipal Building. On the agenda will be:

Ordinance 281: Amend zoning map to rezone parcel 044.05 of Meigs County Tax Map 037, from R-1 Low Density Residential District to I-1 General Industrial District

The Decatur Board of Aldermen will consider the following ordinances at their regular meeting at 7pm on June 16, 2026 at the Decatur Municipal Building:

• An ordinance to amend the zoning ordinance to allow multiple residential structures on a single lot in the R-2 Medium Density Residential District and multiple commercial structures in the commercial zones with an approved site plan, delete section 4.15 group housing projects, and section 4.16 planned shopping centers.
• An ordinance to amend the zoning map to rezone parcel 044.05 of Meigs County Tax Map 037, from R-1 Low Density Residential District to I-1General Industrial District.
